Our welder didn’t make the cut for the latest magazine, but I felt it was too good not to publish somewhere, so here he is. It had been awhile since I had shot in a mill, but I feel like I made the most of it. Always feels good to nail a shot and know it will be in your portfolio by the end of the night.
You know you’re in trouble when you have to cover the final game of a triple header in high school baseball. Once you see the schedule you anticipate at least a 30 minute delay and you pray that’s all it will be. Then the second game goes 12 innings and 30 minutes become an hour and 15 minutes. That was Monday at Jerry Uht Park in Erie. Once the Grove City v. Chartiers Valley got started and I was able to get in the photo pit, I had direct sunlight into my lens for four innings, so I tried to make the best of it.
Sorry for the long break between posts, but the last month has been exceptionally busy. I did some searching and I found another photo from the land of the unpublished. This was from a shoot I did at the new Sharon sewer plant where I was able to check out their new robotic camera. They send this little guy down into the muck and he shoots video back up so they can see where there may be a problem.
Art Under the Dome is an interesting event, and I covered my first one last week. While I was there, I had the idea for this blog. I was shooting a band named Emil and the Palookas from Meadville, PA and I decided that I was going to get back to taking the kind of photos that I like to take. I needed to do that for myself to keep me going.
